I did not follow at all the news around the new Minifig MMO. Tomorrow will be a great day to start!

However, I'm a lot more excited about this MMO than the Chima MMO, but that is just my feeling for now.

Go figure, the info comes out tomorrow morning, and I'll be at school... Well, is it just going to be posted on the Funcom site like always? Because I should probably leave that on my phone so I can check on the way. Really excited to see the new info so I can add it to the wiki!

No, they are not late. Read the text again. The time and date defines a presentation to their stockholders. This is confirmed by the mention of a different venue and the new address. They presentation is probably going on as we speak, but the press release will not come until after the presentation is over. If it even does come out today, it should be sometime this afternoon.

So probably, the MMO will be made in Unity3D.

That doesn't mean too much. Funcom has other MMOs in the works, and just because they want a mobile Unity3D dev, and the Minifigs will have a mobile... something... doesn't exactly mean it will be made in Unity. One of their other games could be a Unity game. Of course, we won't know exactly what it is made in until later in development.

EDIT:

A bit more evidence that the MMO most likely not be made in Unity 3D. I found the 2Q 2012 report, and it says that it will be built on existing Funcom tech. While they may have already used Unity 3D for their games, I would think "existing Funcom tech" would mean their own engine and not Unity 3D. Otherwise, they would have said so in the first place.

Awesome, Now we got to wait more

Next meeting is this month: April 24. However, nothing specially about the upcoming Minifigure game will be told during this meeting.

One month later, there will be a new meeting, on May 24 which will probably announce much more!
