Good job Hobino and Le! :)
Well done Hobino and Le for creating the LUCA program. It works pretty good and I managed to download my creations and even html files.
Just wondering... What program language did you used?

Hey, I helped too (a tiny little bit
)!
Yes, it is a very good program, and that reminds me, I need to run it on my creations...
He used Python to create it, BTW.

Re: Good job Hobino and Le! :)
Thanks Sim! Hobino wrote it initially (and I contributed code for v0.3), then he went off to camp and didn't get to make a topic here. Once I heard about the CL closing, rio prompted me to finish it. Finish it I did, pushing it from v0.3 to v1.0 in three days, and have made a few bug fix releases since that. It also (somehow) has a small following on the CL...

Yes, you did help. HTML page, constant debugging partner, support, and listening to me ideas for fixes...rioforce wrote:Hey, I helped too (a tiny little bit)!

That was Hobino's plan! He got the downloading code in before I started helping, and I filled in the rest of his ideas. I honestly could not have done this had he not the initial code in place!Sim533 wrote:Well done Hobino and Le for creating the LUCA program. Python, it's the only language I know! I think he used it because we talked about programming before he started it, and because I said it was good, I think he choose to use it. LUCA is (believe it or not) open-source. Original v0.2 and v0.3 repo is on his account, and the released version is on mine.Sim533 wrote:Just wondering... What program language did you used?![]()

Just had a look at the code. I have gotten a little bit python this year and I must say, that's something I cannot write
.

LUCA (LEGO Universe Creation Lab Archiver), is a program written by Hobino and Le717 to archive people's creations before the Creation Lab closes.

Thanks le717! He is the one who completed LUCA (and added features!) in order to made it available for everyone! Great work!

Hobino! What happened to you? You go off to camp, come back for a short bit, go away again, and next time you surface I have completed your first serious application! /sarcasm
I could take all the credit for completing LUCA, but I can not and I will not. If Hobino had not gotten the initial code in place (and by that I mean all code to archive the stuff + search by username, it'd might only get your pictures, title and description! Honestly, while I did implement every feature he planned and do things he may have not seen (like getting multiple pages or finding the username no matter what position they were at in the search results), that core code was truly the cornerstone of LUCA, and I could not have done anything without it. So we both did it.
@Hobino, looks like you need to find yourself a new "'first' serious project" to replace this "first serious project" I completed for you. ;P
*facepalm* I thought I fixed all that! Oh well. =P

Sim, I have been coding in Python for almost a year now. To be blunt, had I not had that experience, or Hobino not had my support in LUCA, I'm not sure he nor I could have written it (and I'm not saying you could not do it, Hobino. You may very well could have completed it) but it was a challenge and stressful for me to complete. I can't imagine how you might have felt, Hobino! Also, the amount of work I put into it in those three days I would normally do in two weeks, one month if I was busy.Sim533 wrote:Just had a look at the code.
