Huh? I don't get it. Why are launch pads not working? Minifigs randomly being smashed? Dragons falling from the sky? I have not heard anything about a Maelstrom Takeover Question

Official Lego Universe statement on the issue:

The Maelstrom have launched their biggest attack on the Nexus Force yet!

Several of the zones have been hit the hardest, but it seems to be spreading to other areas too! Friends lists are down, Minigames are down, Properties aren't working correctly - things have gone haywire at the moment!

All the factions are working together to push back the Maelstrom, and doing what they can to get things back to working order.

Please try again in about an hour - the Assembly engineers should have repaired most of the damage done by then, and everything should return to normal!

I have a theory, but it is very far fetched so I won't say anything further. And no, I have nothing to do with it.

Not to mention this has happened before.

Glad it's back up, I have a contest to enter! Razz

He said that he had nothing to do with his theory of what happened. (he wasn't in the theory)

This kinda stuff happens with games. When something goes wrong with LU, LEGO just says the the Maelstrom is attacking it, instead of telling the truth lol.

One guy I know actually got the truth (Shocked) but he pretty much had to threaten the BB into telling it to him. Razz

Unlike in Beta where at least half the time I got a real answer. Razz

This probably has something to do with the contest. I would imagine LEGO uses contests as sort of a stress test.

Lol... Tell me what happened or I'll hack LU and shut it down! (I was going to say something else but I thought it might not be appropriate)

I could see them using contests for that. I would have thought that the shooting gallery would be pretty stable by now though.....

From what I understand. It's like testing the limit of the game. Maybe testing how many repeatitive players are playing at one time, or something.
