Patcher Down? (THEORY!)

Hey guys!
Well, if you check the LMB's, you'll notice several reports of the patcher currently under the impression that it is outdated.
This is either its own mid-life crisis...
Or perhaps this hints at big things to come.
Think about it - what do we know to be true?
1) A Mac version is close at hand.
2) There could be big features coming during the next test session.
What do you think? Is it merely a bug, or is there a reason behind this occurrence?

I think it's the Mac version and maybe too LUPs World coming out with the best friend button!
Well finally, I don't have much idea what could it really be.

Best Friends: Maybe.
LUPs World: Nope.
Source files tell all. Then again, they didn't completely download because of that error. >.<
