Yes, decals will come off with play. But there are special chemicals to get them off. I think there is a metal polish called Brasso which will remove decals and polish your plastic at the same time!

Rubbing Alcohol does the same thing to sharpie. That's how I got it all off.

Ah, I didn't know that! Does it also take off LEGO Decal, or was The LEGO Movie lying when President Business messed up Good Cop's face?

President B. using an entirely different chemical. As long as you use rubbing alcohol, your LEGO decals will be just fine, though it does take a while, I've had 2 minifigs in a jar of the stuff for almost a week, and there not done yet!

Uh, oh. I read on ReBrick that some guy soaked microfigures, and the decals were still there, but the plastic was all mushy... I hope they don't ruin your figs!
