Ugh....the suspense of waiting!!!!!

How often do they post progress reports?

Well lets see:
They post ONE press release,and mentioned it ONCE SINCE the press release.

I didn't see it yet! How do I find it?!

This is crazy! they cannot say nothing at all, or we will die from waiting..... maybe LEGO told them to be quiet. or maybe they decided to wait until release. or maybe they are getting ready to say something. or maybe we just have to wait for a slip.

There will probably be another press release within the next 2 weeks. I am pretty sure LEGO is trying to keep it a secret,and for many reasons.

Like I said before, they are trying to build suspense. Or maybe they have nothing to report. I would rather have one report that tells me everything than 5 reports that tell me almost nothing!

Or one report telling us when they will report everything.

That would be nice, but terribly inconvenient for them. To make a report just to tell you when a report will come out seems a little impractical, don't you think? Any way have they ever done that? Probably not.

Oh they definitely have stuff to report. They should have at least made the section on the minifigures website on the game.

Yes they have done that, it may not have been like huge press release but they've said something like;

"This is what we want to do...Details in a couple weeks. Thank you for your patience, we want to make this the best game possible and that takes time...."

Got as all the time with that in LU, it wasn't much but at least we didn't feel ignored.

Maybe instead of bemoaning our delema of not having enough info, we should speculate about what the game will be like.

Companies/Governments do that sort of thing a lot,
Ever heard of calling for an Appointment, and when you go there. they will tell you when your Appointment is?

They have a lot to stand up too, If they do not have it Like LU, or Better then LU, then people will be disappointed.
The First one set the standard. the next will better be good enough.

That makes sense. But since neither have come yet they really do us no good! Do they have a date that they release progress reports for their games?

Any news today? somebody told me that there is a Youtube Video about it! and that it looks cool! i am trying to get more info!

Hmm. I didn't see anything on Funcom's YouTube channel. Is it a fan video you think?

Well, it may take years to finish. LU took about 7! Considering this game can scrap things from LU this may be reals end in 5-6 years. That is my speculation.

Lu took long cause they scraped it and started over, MANY TIMES. even when they decided on what the story is, they changed worlds. and songs. so that is why it took long. partly. another thing could be experience. and the partnership could have been worse. they probably started working on this game before lu closed. according to sources.

Someone on the messageboards made a very good point. He said that LEGO digital designer was used in LEGO universe and many LEGO features,so why not use LDD in the new game? Especially when they have updated LDD a lot recently. Maybe when the PR said LEGO and funcom will be working together on this mmo,LEGO's part was to mostly wrk on the building features,and funcom's was to mostly work on the rpg features and mmo layout. After i heard this it gave me more hope to believe that this will be an amazing game like all the LEGO and funcom people are saying it's going to be.

Exactly! They still have the files,so they can use it in the new game so that now all their hard work for LDD is now commercial.

NetDevil only made Web games. Never a PC game before. And Nenen has a good point there.

No they didn't. LDD just had a MAJOR update a few weeks ago. They just closed the part where you can buy your own models. LDD is still here.

Well, you can use it for concept and if you convert to LDraw files you can. But extracting the files and reverse-engineering the brick geometries isn't possible.
