How to record 3D games on Windows!
I have uploaded a video that shows how to record 3D games on Windows. I use this program myself, and I have had a good experience with it.
Please right click on the video and click "Watch on Youtube" so you can read the description! It explains why I did what I did in this video!
There are other settings in Gregion that can be changed, but you can change them yourself. If you have a question, please ask! rioforce or I will try to help you out!
Oh yea, this video was created so if Property Spotters would want to record videos, they would know how to!
Plus, Gregion is freeware! You you don't have to go out and pay $37 for Fraps! (even though Fraps can record your mic while playing the game. But I do not do that, so it works for me!)

*Scanning... Bip! Bip! Bip! One-word posts detected! Remember to be careful!*
Back to the topic now. Nice guide! I will have to try that program one day, could be quite useful.

I use Freez Screen Video Capture, and that works fine.

@maestro35 But does Freez Screen Video Capture record video games in all their full screen glory? And do you have to register it? From what I read, No and Yes. You should try Gregion. It does not record anything but games, but it does not have to be registered. Plus, it is freeware. And it has not ads, no watermark (but you can add one), and (as far as I know) no nagging updater screen. Plus, you can record in AVI, WMV, RM and MOV. So you can save space on your hard drive by not recording in AVIs.

@Tracer
For Macs, ask LegoFan101. I believe he uses Quicktime X for OS X 10.6 and 10.7. I do not own a Mac (I kinda want one though!), so I do not know. Like I said, ask LegoFan101. He can help you more than I can.

Yup. Gregion is not made for Macs. Only AWESOME Windows users get it! (You're awesome if you run Windows XP or higher )

Only in Windowed mode, but HyperCam stinks when it comes to DirectX.

So what you're saying is that you have to minimize it?AM_rioforce wrote:Legofanyoda2 wrote:Wouldn't HyperCam also work?AM_rioforce wrote:Yes. Gregion is as good as Fraps!

1. It's TERRIBLE quality
2. You need to minimize it
3. It is laggy/buggy
4. Etc. I'll think of more later.

Is there any filming programs that are entirely free, you never have to pay, and are good?

You mean DirectX programs? Well, yes. Gregion. It records LU and that's what this whole topic is about!

Yeah, using the recording programs are nice. I sometimes make Archival videos to have the Worlds in LU preserved.Legofanyoda2 wrote:Okay, Good. I'll see if I can get it.AM_rioforce wrote:Legofanyoda2 wrote:Is there any filming programs that are entirely free, you never have to pay, and are good?

Cool! I'll probably do LF101's "LEGO Universe: The Movie" in F2P. Even though the stars would be me and le717.
