LU on your iPad!
Did you guys check out my guide on the LMB's? If not, here you go.
Hey guys!
Earlier I started a topic stating that I got LU to stream to my iPad.
Well, now I'm gonna show you how to do it!
1) Start by finding an app that streams your Mac or PC's contents. (and allows you to control the machine from your iPad.) I use SplashTop myself, but others have suggested logmein as well.
2) Get the desktop client that is compatible and required with/for your computer.
3) Grab a Macro Maker program - something that lets you automate tasks by setting simple keystrokes as activators.
4) Open up LU and set its resolution to be as small as possible. Save the change, then quit the game. (We'll come back to it in a moment.)
5) Open up your Macro Maker program. Create a new Macro, and add a portion that takes one keystroke of the upward directional key, then add more afterwards that simulate more keystrokes after the activation keystroke. It may take a lot of copying/pasting to get the right amount of simulated keystrokes. Repeat with the other directional buttons as well. (This process is a workaround to the "standstill" problem, and allows you to move around from the iPad.)
6) Once your Macro is set up, minimize the program.
7) Open up LU and make sure that you have it in Windowed Mode.
Open your desktop client for your iPad app, and ensure that it is on and ready to stream to your iPad.
9) Go to your iPad and connect to the client via the app.
After all of this, you should be able to play the game almost normally. Each directional keystroke either will result in a limited distance of walking, or too much, and your Macro might need some tweaking to get everything just right.
But when it's all said and done... you should be able to enjoy the game from your iPad!
NOTES:
• My iPad doesn't stream the audio from the game.
• Battling enemies is not the best idea, until I can find another workaround. There is a bit of lag between keystrokes, which might take time to get used to.
• If your app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch, or other mobile device, it should theoretically work almost as well as with the iPad.
If you need some help or more app suggestions, let me know!
This can work on an iPod Touch/iPhone too, if you get the right app.

Re: LU on your iPad!
Sounds great!!! Good Job! Can you upload the keystroke script to the forums? (or do you have it set to no attachments.)

Wow, that is awesome! I agree with Grizzly, you are a computer genius!
I could try making it work on my family smartphone, I have to find to right app thought which might be hard. And I could only go on the log-in screen.

Just curious, what are Macros? I know they're computer codes that represent functions, but could you give me a description? I want to know how to use them in PowerPoint. And, they may come in handy for other programs...

Re: LU on your iPad!
I'm not at all familiar with PowerPoint macros, but you pretty much just described the others.

Yes it should work.

I got an iPad a month ago and I didn't have time to try this yet. But, anyone knows a free app that would do the same as SplashTop?

Re: LU on your iPad!
I found a free app for remote connections on the iPad, it's call Wyse PocketCloud. I was able to connect to my PC desktop, but not able to open LU. It's says that the video card is not supported. Maybe I need to lower the resolution, but I can't access the game settings (don't have game time). Is there any way to change the resolution without opening the game?
