Haha, you don't have to say that's it's not an official topic, Nenen. It's good that the users are reporting the news when I fail to.
I personally haven't entered The Emmet Awards, because I entered the one on ReBrick. I may enter in the next part of it though.

Re: The LEGO movie *EMMET AWARDS*
something that is Important to mention..
I think that the Likes will not make the winner... I think it is just for showing how many people "Like" it, NOT for choosing the winner!
Also, why does it seem that there is so many entries that are just cheap no-work things?
(Almost done! just beautifying my model now...)

Because it's LEGO.com and there's no age minimum, so anyone can enter. Except for people over 18, they aren't allowed to enter according to the official rules.

Overview:
The Emmet Awards Monthly Competition (the “Competition”) is an interactive monthly contest wherein the LEGO Group will challenge the fans of THE LEGO® MOVIE™, using video, audio and photos, to participate in one or more of six monthly online creative competitions (the “Monthly Contests”).
From February to July you can join by either editing a video and/or audio track, or building a model, depending on that particular month’s contest.
Who May Participate:
Open to all persons aged 18 years old or younger as of the date of entry, except for residents of the Canadian province of Quebec, and where prohibited by law. Employees of companies in the LEGO Group, agencies and companies associated with the LEGO Group (e.g. suppliers related to the product line), and the immediate families of such employees are not eligible to participate.
Contest Entry Period:
The Monthly Contests begin in February 2014 and end in July 2014.
The general contest schedule for each Monthly Contest is as follows, but note that these dates and times are subject to change. Check the Emmet Awards Monthly Competition Contest Home Page (the “Emmet Awards Home Page”) (LEGO.com/emmetawards) for updates:

How to Enter:
Note: LEGO ID required for entry. If you do not have a LEGO ID, you may sign up for one at no cost at LEGO.com. Just look for the “LEGO ID” button at the top right of the LEGO.com home page. You will need to be signed into your LEGO ID account to submit your Competition entries.
Be sure to enter under your own LEGO ID account, as any prizes will be awarded to the registered owner of the LEGO ID used to submit your entry.
For each of the Monthly Contests, go to the Emmet Awards Home Page (LEGO.com/emmetawards) and follow the instructions to learn how to create and submit your entry.
For the Monthly Contests involving video or music editing submissions, the Emmet Awards Home Page will provide information on how to use the LEGO Movie Builder application to create and submit your entries.
For Monthly Contests involving photo submissions, the Emmet Awards Home Page will provide information on how to submit and any specific requirements for entries.
To enter, you will be asked to submit video or music entries created through the LEGO® Movie Builder application (LEGO.com/movie/mvb/create) or to create a model for the challenge by using LEGO bricks from your collection. For photo-based contests you will then be required to take a picture of your creation and go online to the Emmet Awards Home Page (LEGO.com/emmetawards). You then can find the appropriate contest page, and upload the picture of your model. Acceptable file formats for the upload of photo submissions are .jpg or .png.

Entries must not contain elements that are defamatory or degrading to any individual or group;
All entries must consist exclusively of original designs; entries incorporating third party trademarks, copyrights or other intellectual property rights will be disqualified;
IMPORTANT: The rule above means that you must not use LEGO parts in your creation that show trademarks, logos or distinctive designs of any third party, such as parts that are exclusive to such product lines as LEGO brand Pirates of the Caribbean, LEGO brand Toy Story, LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes, LEGO Harry Potter, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, LEGO Minecraft, LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO The Hobbit, LEGO The Lord of the Rings, or any other licensed product line.
Use of any building toy parts not produced by the LEGO Group will result in your entry being disqualified; and
Entry photos should show your model design only, and should not show recognizable features of any person or any commercial product
How to Win:
Prizes will be awarded to five (5) Nominees for each Monthly Contest, one (1) Winner for each Monthly Contest, and one (1) overall Grand Prize Winner, as follows:
Monthly Nominees: Each month five (5) nominees will be selected.
Monthly Contest Winners: At the conclusion of all of the contests, one (1) Monthly Contest Winner will be named for each of the six Monthly Contests, from among the five nominees for each Monthly Contest, for a total of six (6) Monthly Contest Prize Winners.
Grand Prize Winner: Also at the conclusion of all of the Monthly Contest, one (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected from a pool consisting of all of the Monthly Nominees, including the Monthly Contest Winners, as well all contestants who have submitted entries to all six of the Monthly Contests.
NOTE: Participants who submit an entry to all six of the Monthly Contests will be eligible to win in the Grand Prize selection, even if none of the participant’s entries were selected as Nominees or Monthly Contest Winners.
Nominees and Winners will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of members of THE LEGO MOVIE design and marketing teams (the “Judges”).
All entries will be posted on a public gallery where viewers will be able to “Like” or comment on the submissions. Please note, however, that the number of LIKES or comments an entry receives will not influence the Judges’ decisions.
Entries will be evaluated by the Judges based on the following criteria:
25%: Creativity
25%: Originality
20%: Awesomeness
20%: Overall fit and faithfulness to the Monthly Contest theme
10%:
For Video and Music Editing Contests: Entertainment value and interesting use of the video and audio clips;
For Building Contests, the stability and structural integrity of the model
Tie-breaking criteria: If after evaluation by the Judges, two or more entries are tied, the Judges will break the tie based on the entry which was awarded the highest score for Creativity. If a tie still exists, the Judges will break the tie among the remaining tied entries based on the entry with the highest score for Originality. If necessary, the Judges will resolve any remaining ties by vote among the Judges in their sole discretion.
All entries will be judged for the Monthly Contest in progress for the period in which the entries were submitted.
The odds of winning will depend on the creativity, skill level, and talent of the entrant, and on the number of eligible contest entries received during each contest period.
Selected potential Nominees will be contacted directly by the Emmet Awards Team within seven (7) days of the close of each Monthly Contest period. The Monthly Contest Winners and the Grand Prize Winner will be contacted within fourteen (14) days of the end of the final Monthly Contest Entry Period.
In order to be certified as an official Nominee, Monthly Prize Winner, or Grand Prize Winner, potential Nominees and Winners must complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Prize Acceptance, Release of Liability, and Publicity Release form (to be co-signed by the parent or legal guardian of any potential Nominee or Winner who is deemed a minor in his or her jurisdiction of residence). The Nominees’ and Winners’ certification documents should be printed and signed, then scanned and returned as an email attachment, as directed in the accompanying instructions. Potential Nominees and Winners who do not have access to a printer and scanner should contact the Emmet Awards Team immediately upon receipt of the notifying email for further instructions.
Any potential Nominee or Winner who does not return the properly completed documentation within seven (7) days of transmittal will be declared ineligible, and an alternate potential Nominee or Winner will be selected.

Re: The LEGO movie *EMMET AWARDS*
I think so, I will be re-vamping a bi-plane that Sam Sinister flew in an Orient Expedition set. I don't see anything that says you have to revamp an MOC. All my MOCs are too cool already to get any cooler!
I don't usually build them boring...
