Do you think there really is a Golden Mini-figure? maybe even in Series 10?

I probably will never get one, since i am saving up for something.

Hmm... They released a chrome darth Vader a while back in Star Wars sets. It might be likely, but it will be even more rare than getting what you want in the bag! (But then again, we could look at the UPC codes. Laughing )

There actually was a 14 karat gold C3P0 hidden in random sets in 2007, at least, I think it was '07.

As I told rio, I don't think that would have happened. 14 karet is 10 karets less than pure gold, but it is still expensive. Go to a jewery and look at the price of a 14 karet necklace. That would never be put into a children's toy. Yes, these was a chrome Vader, but I can guarantee you it wasn't much.

As for this gold minifig, (if it is real), it won't be real gold. It will just be gold-colored, much like the Golden Llyod.

I remember LEGO was giving away gold C3P0 as prizes for a LEGO Star Wars stop-motion contest and if I recall well, they were 14 karat.

Lets see... They seem to be saying the same on this page: http://legostarwars.wikia.com/wiki/C-3P0_%28Gold%29

And, it actually seemed they are solid gold. Hard to believe, but I do think it is true. I'll have to check in my old LEGO magazines, I could probably find the page talking about the C3P0.

There was also 10 000 golden C3P0, which were not real gold in this case.

As for the golden minifigure, I believe like le717 and I'm almost sure is it true.

I never did get a Mr. Gold minifigure, nor knew anyone who did get one, but there were plenty of people that did get Mr. Gold (which was not real gold, actually, just chromed plastic).
