The Nexus Project  Empty The Nexus Project

As some of you know, I'm the leader of the Nexus Project. We are creating an entire system in Digital Designer and sending it to the developers for the game. I'd like to know what you think of these worlds that we are currently constructing.

Nexus Universal Station (N.U. Station)
- Based on Nimbus Station
- Location of Nexus military base, Maelstrom Prison, and the new Nexus Tower
- The new location of the imagination Nexus. Faction leaders have established a military base here and are currently sending troops to reclaim Nexus City.

Aquatic Research and Experiment Facility (A.R.E. Facility)
- Based on the Wizard101 world of Celestia
- An undersea research station is under attack by the Maelstrom! Dome 19A has been breached and water is flowing in fast. Admiral Jake Wolfe is struggling to hold back the incoming enemies until help arrives.

Nexus City
- A ruined version of Nexus City, the city itself exploded into chunks
- Last world before Maelstrom Vortex Dungeon
- After an invasion by the Maelstrom, Nexus City now lies in ruins. The city itself has exploded into smaller fragments. Commander Raymond Zeus, leader of the Dragon Guard, is leading the effort to push back the Maelstrom.

Maelstrom Vortex
- This will be a Dungeon instance.
- You will get to fight Baron Typhonus and infected versions of the faction leaders.
- We have two ideas on what will happen after this: Baron Typhonus escapes or another group of minifigures try and revive the Maelstrom.
- To defeat the bosses, you have to do so according to their beliefs about the Maelstrom. For example, since Dr. Overbuild is Assembly, you will have to build a contraption to defeat him. NOTE: these will be clones of the actual faction leaders created by the Baron.

We also have some worlds under review. These may be created, depending on if the other members want to create them and if we can fit them into our story.

Steampunk World
- No concepts created yet.

Snow World (Frostopia)
- Concept: a chunk of Planet Crux that was thrown into orbit around Space Station 5000.
- May not be created, due to the amount of snow terrain worlds already in LU.

Lava World
- No concepts created yet.
- Themed to LEGO Power Miners.

Forest World
- No concepts created yet.
- Will be based on the Wizard101 world of Grizzleheim.

These seem good the only ones i would change would be the ones that are wisard 101 based.

I love the idea of lava world. Would be cool if they went into a volcano (not lego) and inside they jump from block to block (blocks resemble rock platforms) (blocks are lego) and if you dont make it to the platform, you sink into the lava and die.

Nice worlds and great ideas! Going into a volcano would be really cool and we could exit/enter from the top and the bottom.

Yah! Which gives me an idea! Anyone seen Journey to the Center of the Earth (new one). Well it would be cool if to exit you get on a rock platform and lava pushes you out the top.

I agree, these are good ideas, but I dunno if I'd want worlds based on another online game in LU. The worlds need to be fully unique to LU. Smile

When I said "based on" I meant that just for the building designs. The story will be totally different from theirs. Here's an example:

I was thinking about making a park area in Nexus Universal Station dedicated to the Mythrans as a thank you for the hard work that they do. What do you think? I'm sure I could find some way to incorporate it into our story.

My iPad can't see the vid for some reason... any way you can correct that?

By the way, it appears as though, since BT has been corrupted by the Maelstrom, it appears as though his name has been changed to the Darkitect.
Maybe the Darkitect Wastelands?

Maelstrom Vortex Notes
Instance Type: Dungeon

Bosses

Baron Typhonus
Rank 10 Boss
Life Points: 10,000
Armor Points: 10,000
Attacks: Maelstrom Energy Blast, Staff swing, Maelstrom Meteor Rain
Abilities: Able to summon Maelstrom creatures of his choice
(NOTE: Limit 5 per summon and all creatures summoned must be defeated before he can summon again).
Method of Defeat: Find the container of pure imagination in his lair, and use it to build a cannon to fire converted Maelstrom energy at the Baron. The cannon will wear down 9,000 damage, use your weapons to finish him off.

Vara Blacktorch
Rank 9 Boss
Life Points: 9,000
Armor Points: 8,500
Attacks: Katana Slash, Maelstrom Flame Attack, Maelstrom Tornado
Abilities: Able to turn all devices and/or creatures summoned against her opponent (e.g. the Assembly Engineer turret).
Method of Defeat: Gather the bricks scattered throughout the battlefield to have enough parts to quick-build. Build the contraption and interact with it to activate it and turn the Maelstrom energy in her lair against her.

Thunder Storm
Rank 9 Boss
Life Points: 8,500
Armor Points: 9,000
Attacks: Maelstrom Parrot Attack, Cutlass Slice, Hook Jab
Abilities: Able to decrease an attacker’s speed by a medium amount
(medium = half).
Method of Defeat: Navigate successfully to the end of the maze and release the trapped imagination.

Dark Exeron
Rank 9 Boss
Life Points: 7,000
Armor Points: 10,000
Attacks: Dark Sword Attack, Shield Charge, Joust Dart
Abilities: Able to drain a small amount of armor from the attacker
(small = 10%).
Method of Defeat: This boss requires hand-to-hand combat to defeat.

Professor Smash
Rank 9 Boss
Life Points: 8,000
Armor Points: 7,500
Attacks: Arm Attack, Maelstrom Zap, Wrench Swing
Abilities: Able to drain an attacker’s imagination by a small amount
(small = 10%).
Method of Defeat: Using modular pieces scattered throughout the battlefield, build a contraption that will smash him to pieces.

NOTE: All drain abilities have a 60 second recharge time.

o Faction-only pets dropped by the infected versions of the faction leaders.
o Spider Boss pet dropped by Baron Typhonus

o All Maelstrom enemies that were fought prior to the dungeon will be in the instance, including but not limited to:

Fighting
o The same fighting tactics used when defeating the enemies will be implemented with the identical enemies in the dungeon.

Dungeon Entrance
o The player will enter the dungeon with 4-8 players. A rocket in Nexus City will take them to the awaiting Nexus Starship fleet, comprised of Star Cruiser Alpha Centauri (flagship) and her two sister cruisers, Proxima Centauri and Beta Centauri. A cut-scene will be shown depicting the launch of the rocket to the Star Cruisers, and the cruisers
landing at the Baron’s Lair.

I am looking forward to the Corrupted Sentries. Because they have security experience and have turned bad maybe they will sneak up on us or blend into the walls and attack us as we walk by.
